Pat Fitzgerald

Pat joined the BMC in 1979 as a coach. He became a committee member in 1980 and with Frank Horwill organised BMC races at West London Stadium. Pat was BMC Treasurer between 1984 and 2016, overseeing a huge improvement in the clubs finances. In addition he became Club Administrator in 2005. The role covered most aspects of the club from competition organisation, membership and subscriptions, and administrative functions and coaching . As such Pat was the driving force and public face of a large part of the BMC’s activities. Currently the Administrators role is more focused on Membership, Subscriptions and managing the club database of around 2000 members including distribution of club kit. Pat is an Honorary Vice President and a Director of Athletics Data Limited formed in 2009 and part owned by BMC. Athletics Data manage Power of 10 and Run Britain Rankings for British Athletics and provide a results service to Athletics Weekly. Those responsibilities cover Administration, Financial Control, and Contract Negotiation.
